Need for a value added training:

 

India is a young nation.  Nearly 50% of its population is below 25 yrs of Age.  They require skills for decent jobs. While the conventional education helps in getting knowledge of the respective area, it does not help acquire skills to get the right job. Today therefore the need of Value Added training is more than ever before to get jobs and fulfil the ‘Aspiration Quotient’.

 

Times have changed and the need of having value added training programs is a realisation that organisations require skill sets different from what it required before. While it sounds interesting even today to do engineering but hardly any engineering gets a job in the respective field of engineering. Most of those who do engineering get into IT, IT Support or other areas.  Jobs have become sparse in respective area of engineering.

 

A very similar trend is noticeable for MBAs too. A lot of students are not getting good placements.

 

Survey shows that today AICTE receives more applications for closures than opening the colleges.

 

These are disturbing trends.

 

Why is this case?

 

We are living in a highly automated world. Everything already has a template. We do not need to create anything from scratch.

 

Yes, we are living in a 'BUY' atmosphere - ‘Make’ is a necessity only when ‘Buy’ as an option is not available. When 'Buy' becomes available as an option, 'Make' becomes optional. A simple example for it is; we no more prefer to go to a tailor to get a pair of clothes stitched, instead we go to a showroom to buy them.
